The cattle breeding cooperative (eGen) of the province of Vorarlberg, based in Bregenz; it was entered in the companies register in December 2017. It keeps the herdbook for Brown Swiss, Holstein, Fleckvieh, beef breeds, Original Braunvieh and Jersey and runs a semen depot in Dornbirn (serving about 25 AI vets and 530 farmers who inseminate their own herds). It organises auctions in the Schorenhalle in Dornbirn and supports shows and young breeder events. It is a member of Rinderzucht Austria.
Membership is voluntary and meant for cattle breeders in Vorarlberg. The website gives no membership conditions or fees.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — please ask them directly. Some services are charged, e.g. a pedigree certificate (Stammschein) costs €17.70.
