Voluntary
The professional association of Czech pond fish farmers and fish processors, re-founded in 1991 (its predecessor was set up in 1918). Its members include the leading fish farms as well as research, education and service organisations. It represents the sector in law-making, prepares analyses, gives advice, publishes the journal Rybníkářství and manages the “Český kapr” trademark. It is for farms that produce or process fish.
Membership is voluntary. Any organisation or business can join that submits a completed application and proof of business (e.g. company register extract, trade licence) showing that it works in fisheries or a directly related activity. The plenary session decides on admission on the executive committee's recommendation, with at least a two-thirds majority; it meets twice a year (May and December). Membership starts when the statutes are signed and the fee is paid.
On joining, the service fee for the first calendar year is CZK 5,000 + VAT (within 30 days of admission). After that, each year: a membership contribution of CZK 1,000 (by the end of the first half-year, no VAT), a flat operating fee of CZK 5,000 + VAT (in the first quarter), and a service fee based on the previous year's revenue from fish production (invoiced quarterly).
Fee basis: flat annual fee
