Chamber of agriculture · Czechia · national
Voluntary
The chamber of Czech agricultural, forestry and food businesses, set up by Act No. 301/1992 and active since 1993. It is built from district (okresní) and regional agrarian chambers and from sector associations (společenstva). It represents its members in law-making, provides advice and information services, and is a member of Copa-Cogeca.
Membership is voluntary (zákon č. 301/1992 Sb. § 5 odst. 3). Any natural or legal person based in the Czech Republic that runs an agricultural, food or forestry business can join. You apply in writing to your district agrarian chamber (or through a sector association); the district chamber's board decides on admission.
The fee is collected by the district chamber. Under AK ČR's contribution rules in force from 1 January 2024: registration fee CZK 500; annual fee at least CZK 10/ha of agricultural land and at least CZK 5/ha of forest or water, but no less than CZK 500. Members without land pay by annual turnover, from CZK 500 (up to CZK 5 million) to CZK 40,000 (up to CZK 500 million); above that by agreement. The exact amount is set by the district chamber.
Fee basis: area/volume-based
