RBB Rinderproduktion Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH handles breeding, AI and marketing of dairy and beef cattle in Brandenburg, Berlin and the Jessen area of Saxony-Anhalt. It focuses on black-and-white Holsteins, many beef breeds and the endangered German Black Pied Lowland cattle (DSN). Behind it stands the Rinderzuchtverband Berlin-Brandenburg eG (RZB), a recognised breeding organisation. It is for cattle farmers in Brandenburg and Berlin.
Voluntary. Membership is in the cooperative Rinderzuchtverband Berlin-Brandenburg eG: under its statutes every breeder with a farm or residence in the organisation's area who is willing to do breeding work under animal-breeding law has a right to membership (natural and legal persons, partnerships). A written membership declaration and board approval are required. The RZB area is Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony and the Jessen part of Saxony-Anhalt.
The organisation does not publish its membership fee — ask directly. Under the RZB statutes every member takes one cooperative share of EUR 600 (in instalments: EUR 60 on joining, then EUR 150 every six months) and pays an annual personal and herd-based contribution set by the general assembly.
For information only, not legal advice. Mandatory membership is set by local law — each profile lists its source.
