The Burgenländische Landwirtschaftskammer is the statutory agricultural chamber of Burgenland, based in Eisenstadt. It represents the province's farmers and foresters: it gives advice, helps with aid applications and organises training. Farmers above the threshold are members automatically under the provincial law; the national umbrella is the Landwirtschaftskammer Österreich.
Compulsory member (Burgenländisches Landwirtschaftskammergesetz § 3): owners of agricultural or forest plots in Burgenland if the area is at least 5,700 m² or the assessed value (Einheitswert) is at least EUR 1,500; full-time self-employed farmers and foresters; family members working on the farm; agricultural and forestry cooperatives based in Burgenland.
Chamber levy (Kammerumlage, § 25): a base amount (Grundbetrag) plus a percentage (Hebesatz) of the land-tax base amount (Grundsteuermessbetrag). The provincial government sets the base amount by regulation, index-linked: from 1 January 2026 it is EUR 40.16 (LGBl. Nr. 100/2025); it is paid by members liable to social-insurance contributions. The Hebesatz is set by the general assembly (Vollversammlung); the chamber raised the levy by 15% in 2024 and 10% in 2025, but does not publish the current Hebesatz — ask the chamber. The tax office collects it with land tax.
Fee basis: land-value based (collected with tax)
