FarmAtlas FarmAtlasFarmAtlas is a pilot project launched on 15 September 2026. Its aim is to support the producers who, despite the difficulties, have kept going across Europe. We are constantly growing and improving.

Who are they?

About

The interbranch organisation of the Spanish beef sector: it brings together the associations of breeders, slaughterhouses, processors and specialised retail (e.g. ASAJA, COAG, UPA, Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias, ASOPROVAC, ANICE). It promotes the consumption and image of beef in Spain and abroad, helps open export markets and runs research working groups (e.g. emissions, manure management, life-cycle assessment).

Who is it for?

Is it mandatory?Mandatory levy, no membership

Members are associations; a farmer does not join directly. However, the extension under Orden APA/836/2025 (2 Jan 2026 – 31 Dec 2030) binds all operators: a producer contribution is due for every bovine reared in Spain and delivered to a Spanish slaughterhouse. It is paid by whoever delivers the animal to the slaughterhouse (if not the breeder, it may be passed on to the breeder); the slaughterhouse withholds it and shows it in the contract/invoice.

Legal basisLey 38/1994, de 30 de diciembre, art. 8–9 + Orden APA/836/2025, de 23 de julio (kiterjesztés 2026.01.02–2030.12.31)

What does it cost?

Membership fee

Producer contribution per animal: 2026: €0.50, 2027: €0.65, 2028: €0.70, 2029–2030: €0.75; the marketing branch pays the same amount (in 2026 €1 per animal in total). The obligation arises at slaughter; the slaughterhouse deducts it and pays it to Provacuno.

Fee basis: number of animals
